Ministries

Pilgrim Branch Missionary Baptist Church has established a variety of Ministries to assist, inspire, develop and educate members and friends of the Church using Biblical principles and lessons.  While the activities of the Ministries vary widely, at their core is the focus on the need for participants to evangelize, pray, read God’s word and enjoy Him all of the days of their lives.  A listing of the Ministries and their focus is shown below:

Young Adults Ministry

Providing ministry opportunities that address 18- 35 year olds issues in today’s challenging world.

Singles Ministry

Providing adult singles with Godly principles to manage their lives in today’s challenging world.

Youth Ministry

Director: 
Directing youth with ministry activities in preparation for today’s challenges.

Praise Dance Ministry

Director: Sister Alicia Blackshear
Providing spiritual growth and development using dance as the spiritual vehicle.

Marriage Ministry

Directors: Deacon Timothy Price, Sr. and Reverend Pricilla Price
Providing ministry activities for married couples in preparation for today’s challenges.

Women’s Ministry

Director: Sister Linda Stewart  
Providing ministry activities for women in preparation for the challenges that they face in everyday life.

Brotherhood Ministry

Director: Deacon Timothy Price, Sr. 
Providing spiritual and emotional support to adult men to put them in the best position to meet the challenges of the world.

Young Lions Ministry

Director: Brother Larry Turner

Directing youth with ministry activities in preparation for today’s challenges.

Young Doves Ministry

Director: Sisters Florence Turner and Katrina Basford

Voices of Praise Choir

Director: Brother Ken Rainey
Providing growth and development opportunities for participants through the medium of song and praise.

Food Pantry Ministry

Director: Sister Robin Bernelle
Providing food and related supplies to families in need.

Pastor’s Aide Ministry

Director: Sister Billie Stewart
Providing special support to the Pastor to ensure his basic needs are addressed.

Finance Ministry

Director: Deacon Lawrence Chatman
Providing financial oversight for all church sponsored activities and events.

Prayer Ministry

Director: Reverend Clyde Thomas
Providing the forum for prayer development; internal to the church and external in the local community.  

Sick & Bereavement Ministry

Director: Deacon Freddie Stewart
Providing special support to families and friends of the church and those in the local community in times of sickness and/or death.
